I am a designer and craftsman specializing in the fabrication of custom cabinetry and casework as well as furniture and architectural built-ins for the home or office.
Elegant design, spectacular woods, and the highest level of craftsmanship and care combine to bring beauty and inspiration to our lives.
The pursuit of fine craftsmanship is a calling, a labor of love that comes from within and renews itself with each new project. I discovered woodworking long ago, beginning with my childhood exposure to tools and carpentry while growing up on a New England farm. I was fortunate enough to study design and to learn joinery techniques, methods, and skills at the college level (Rhode Island School of Design, BFA in Industrial Design, 1989). I moved from two- dimensional design and rendering to explore the visual and ergonomic truths of furniture, most specifically, the chair.
Having studied custom pieces of impeccable design and crafted using nature’s most beautiful woods, I knew what I wanted to pursue. Today I apply these aesthetics with the utmost care to everything I build.
